Board of Assessors approves exemptions and abatements

MANSFIELD — The Mansfield Board of Assessors approved exemptions and abatement applications following executive session review. The board unanimously granted statutory exemptions for five properties and acted on two abatement applications: fully approving Walgreens Pharmacy's request for 243 Chauncy Street and partially approving Vazquez Shadesa's application for 8 Bicentennial Court. The board removed four properties from the Forest-Agricultural or Horticultural-Recreational Land Classification Program for failing to file annual applications.

Chairperson Greg Matoian recognized resigning member Andrew Bank for years of service.
