School Committee approves two percussion field trips and settles labor agreements.

MANSFIELD — The Mansfield School Committee approved two percussion field trips and ratified labor agreements on Tuesday. Chair Jenn Walsh's committee unanimously cleared trips to Toms River, New Jersey (approximately $300 per student) and Dayton, Ohio (approximately $1,200 per student, offset by fundraisers), with Band Director Justin DeJoy confirming no student would be excluded due to inability to pay. Superintendent Michelle McKeon announced agreements with the Mansfield Educators Association to continue the high school Flex Block schedule and with the Paraprofessionals Association on extra-curricular pay rates.

Director Matthew Violette reported the TriBoard has directed the district to identify cuts totaling approximately $5 million, with a revised budget due January 29.
