Planning Board · Meeting of January 14, 2026
Mansfield Planning Board endorses three property divisions and advances consultant selection. The Board unanimously endorsed plans for Spring Street, Pratt Street, and Cobb Street subdivisions involving applicants James Marinelli, Peter Souza and Helene Souza, and Southbrook Development, Inc., with representations by Craig Cygawnoski of RIM Engineering. Operations Manager Mike Ahern presented the DPW public-safety elevator conversion from vegetable oil to standard hydraulic oil, with the Board requesting a special-permit application due to potential groundwater-protection-district implications.
Mark Corsillo proposed a data-center zoning definition to regulate utilities and noise, with revisions planned for February discussion. The Board voted unanimously to interview three consultants—JM Goldson, CommunityScale, and Tighe & Bond—for the Chapter 40R feasibility study, the Hathaway-Patterson site.
