School Committee approves gifts, exercises bus contract option

Mansfield School Committee unanimously accepts donations and transportation extension. The board voted to accept approximately $15,750 in sponsorships for the Active Minds 5K mental health event and a $2,000 Jamie Fund donation to Special Education programs, and exercised the fifth-year option on the Connolly Bus contract for FY27. Chair Jenn Walsh extended public comment beyond the standard 15-minute window to allow approximately a dozen students to speak about planned staff cuts in performing arts and early literacy prompted by the Select Board's April denial of a budget override request.
