Keep Mansfield Beautiful approves $2K for spring cleanup supplies.

Keep Mansfield Beautiful · Meeting of March 10, 2026

MANSFIELD — Keep Mansfield Beautiful approves supplies funding for spring cleanup. The committee authorized $2,000 for T-shirts, gloves, grabbers, and other materials for the April 25 cleanup on South Common, with permits approved and a picnic scheduled. The committee also advanced planning for the Nancy Wall Memorial Bench at North Common facing the town mural, with remaining Mural Account funds of $3,000 allocated toward bench and plaque costs.

Nip bottle recycling disposal remains a concern, with Janice Wivagg reporting underutilized dispensers at town liquor stores; the committee revisited past discussions of a potential town ban on nip sales. Two open board positions are being advertised during spring events and the KMB Newsletter.
