MANSFIELD — Keep Mansfield Beautiful welcomes high school environmental club, launches tree program. The committee approved prior minutes and received a treasurer's report showing combined accounts of $18,970.90, including $15,970.54 in town funds. Danielle Dupre introduced Community Roots, a new tree-planting initiative launching in March 2026, with Kelly Kemp assigned to build the program's web presence.
Representatives from Mansfield High School's Environmental Club presented recycling education goals and a long-term garden project concept; Committee Chair Jeff Ward and members offered strategy mentorship and recommended the students pursue Community Roots' free-tree offering. Tobey Ludlow will lead the committee's formal recycling initiative. A proposal to expand the Spring Cleanup picnic into a fundraiser was tabled pending formation of a dedicated committee with clear leadership.
