MANSFIELD — Animal Welfare Committee approves minutes, receives shelter operations update. The three-member committee present — Carol Kosel, Mary Andrews, and Ana Villella — heard from Animal Control Officer Francesca Politsopoulos about puppies from a neglect case being placed in foster homes with veterinary technicians from Wags Animal Hospital. Politsopoulos reported that shelter dog Neffy will undergo surgery for a luxating patella, with recovery planned at the shelter or in her home.
The committee discussed reinstating a volunteer shift checklist and updating the volunteer manual to better support and recognize volunteer contributions.
