Mansfield Phase III Water Restrictions Remain in Force Through Summer
The town's Phase III mandatory water restrictions, in effect since June 10, remain the standing public directive as Mansfield enters another dry-weather week, while the Mansfield Public Library lines up a run of summer programs starting Wednesday.
TOWN HALL
Phase III outdoor water restrictions imposed on June 10 are still in force across Mansfield, limiting outdoor watering to specific days and times. Residents are reminded that the restrictions are mandatory — not advisory — and asked to protect the town's water supply during the summer stretch. Full schedule details are posted at mansfieldma.com.
The town's homepage also continues to highlight two ongoing programs worth noting: the Downtown Sign & Facade Improvement Program, a joint initiative of the Industrial Development Commission, the Select Board, and the State House delegation aimed at upgrading the downtown business corridor; and the June 2026 Town Newsletter, available on the town website, which collects updates from departments, boards, and committees.
A Planning Board meeting listed for Wednesday, June 24 carries an amended agenda; a previously scheduled 250th Celebration Committee meeting for the same evening has been cancelled.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Mansfield Public Library has a busy stretch ahead. On Wednesday, June 24, Professor Brainius performs at the MAC, and the Loop Group (ages 18 and up) meets at the library. Thursday, June 25 brings three events: Tales for Tails, open to all ages; Straw Weaving Bracelets for children ages 6 to 12; and Chess Club, also open to all ages. Adult tabletop roleplayers can join D&D at the Library: Encounters (ages 18 and up) that same evening. On Friday, June 26, Baby Story Time runs for infants up to 18 months.
The library has also recently announced two new services: memory kits — themed activity bags designed to spark conversation between caregivers and those they support — and a new delivery service to bring materials directly to homebound patrons.
