MANSFIELD — The Mansfield Planning Board revoted three special town meeting warrant articles and approved a cheaper traffic-review contract at its Oct. 28 meeting. Members recorded individual votes on Article 19's accessory dwelling unit setback revisions after discovering an earlier vote lacked a formal tally; it passed by majority with two members voting no. Article 20 (minimum dwelling unit size) and Article 21 (floodplain regulation updates) passed unanimously.

The board also approved a $9,954 scope and estimate from Tetra Tech for peer review of a proposed gas station and convenience store at 464-500 School Street, after an initial quote from Weston and Sampson ran as high as $33,000. "That's a big gap, right? You've got to be careful," one member said.

The board continued that project's public hearing to November 18 and voted unanimously to send the town manager a letter detailing the board's housing initiatives.
