Mansfield Board of Registrars votes to recommend opting out of vote by mail. Town Clerk Jennifer C. Davis explained that while Vote by Mail is required for state elections with full state reimbursement, it is optional for local elections with all costs borne by the town.

The board voted unanimously to recommend that the Select Board formally opt out of Vote by Mail for the May 12 local election. Residents will retain the option to vote absentee or in-person during regular business hours at the Town Clerk's Office.
