Board of Registrars Mailing Sent as Town Also Holds Phase III Water Restrictions

DATELINE — MANSFIELD

The Town of Mansfield issued a required Board of Registrars mailing Thursday, the lone fresh item from town departments on what is shaping up as a quiet late-June Friday.

TOWN HALL

The Board of Registrars has sent a required mailing to Mansfield residents, the town announced Thursday. The nature of the mailing was not detailed in the announcement, but such notices from the Board of Registrars typically relate to voter registration status or list-maintenance obligations under state election law. Residents who receive the mailing are encouraged to read it carefully and respond if requested.

Also still in effect: Phase III mandatory outdoor water restrictions, in place since June 10. Under the current restrictions, outdoor watering is limited to designated days and times — residents should check the town's alert center at mansfieldma.com for their assigned schedule.

The town's Industrial Development Commission continues to accept interest in the Downtown Sign & Facade Improvement Program, a collaboration with the Select Board and the State House delegation aimed at upgrading the visual environment of Mansfield's downtown business corridor.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Mansfield Public Library has two programs on the calendar for tomorrow, Saturday, June 27. Story Time for Tots, designed for children 18 months to three years old, and Patriotic Flower Pot Painting, open to children ages five through 12, are both scheduled. Families should check the library's calendar at mansfieldlibrary.org for exact times and any registration requirements.

The library has also recently launched two new services worth noting: a memory kit lending program — themed activity kits designed to spark conversation between caregivers and those in their care — and a new home delivery service for homebound patrons.
