Town Launches Downtown Facade Program While Phase III Water Restrictions Continue
Mandatory outdoor watering limits remain in force across town five days after Phase III restrictions took effect, while the Industrial Development Commission has unveiled a new program to help downtown business owners upgrade their storefronts.
TOWN HALL
Phase III mandatory outdoor water restrictions, which took effect June 10, continue to govern when and how long Mansfield residents may water lawns and gardens. The town is asking residents to water only on the designated days and within permitted time windows, calling on the community to protect finite water resources during what appears to be a supply-stressed stretch of summer. Full schedule details are posted at mansfieldma.com.
On the economic-development front, the Industrial Development Commission — working in collaboration with the Select Board and the town's State House delegation — has launched the Downtown Sign & Facade Improvement Program. The initiative is designed to upgrade the built environment of Mansfield's downtown business corridor. Business owners interested in the program should check the town website for eligibility and application information.
The June 2026 edition of the town newsletter is also now available online, featuring updates from departments, boards, and committees across municipal government.
