MANSFIELD — The Non-Profit Gift Fund Committee voted unanimously to recommend $55,000 in grants to the Mansfield Select Board after reviewing 14 requests totaling more than $134,000. Committee Chair Mike Healey, Vice Chair Kevin McNatt, and Clerk Kathy Fasoli were elected in the meeting. Major awards included $19,800 to Mansfield DPW, $16,500 to Mansfield Food Pantry, and $5,809.51 to Mansfield Parks and Recreation.
The committee declined to recommend funding the West Side Benevolent Circle's $50,000 request without vendor documentation, asking the Select Board to either waive the committee's policy or allow the organization time to provide the required quotes.
