The town's Information Technologies Department issued a new weekly cybersecurity communication Thursday walking residents through a real-world cyber scam scenario and how to resolve it, adding to Mansfield's ongoing series of resident-facing scam alerts.

Mansfield's IT Department published its latest cybersecurity letter, which lays out a scenario involving a cyber scam and steps residents can take to protect themselves and respond if targeted. The town said the letter continues a series of similar communications, with earlier installments archived on the Information Technologies webpage for residents who want a fuller picture of the scam tactics circulating locally.

Separately, the Town Manager's series of community focus groups has a new date. The sessions, originally set to gather resident feedback on issues facing Mansfield as part of the budget-year planning process, are now scheduled for Monday, September 14, at 6 p.m.
